Founded in 2018, imKey has core members from blockchain wallets, financial institutions and security hardware vendors, with embedded security and cryptocurrency backgrounds. At the beginning of its establishment, it has won angel investment from the global famous blockchain wallet, imToken, and has been focused on the research of crypto asset security for years. Now, it has launched a series of security products, such as imKey hardware wallet and secret box (mnemonic word depository).
imKey's main business is sales of hardware wallets and related accessories on various e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Amazon to its end users. The imKey hardware wallet is an offline tool that adds another layer of security and protection to the digital asset wallet for users to store and manage their own private keys for signing transactions. The hardware wallet can then be integrated with the imToken wallet or any other wallet for the purpose of signing transactions. imKey does not offer any virtual asset services to its customers, nor does it possess or control any assets, virtual assets custody of assets, or store private keys of the users.
